Tobiasz Musielak fully ready for preseason preparations. “The biggest weight lifted off my mind”
08.01.2025 09:06– Now I know that everything is on the right track to not neglect this period and I’ll have time for preparation – said Tobiasz Musielak in an interview for ekstraliga.pl. The new, returning player of CELLFAST WILKÓW also talked about his shin injury rehabilitation, returning to the METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga team, and his ambitions.
After two seasons at ARGED MALESA Ostrów Wielkopolski, Tobiasz Musielak returned to CELLFAST WILKÓW Krosno. With this club, he achieved his two best finishes in recent years’ individual rankings – second and tenth place. – For some time, Michał Finfa was giving signs that they would be interested in me, and I already knew what was looming. Later, when we got into detailed talks, it moved quickly. I think it’s rather a “new story.” It is said, “you don’t step into the same river twice,” but the water continues to flow. I’m returning to a very well-organized club, and that’s very important to me. I’m happy to represent CELLFAST WILKI again because I recall with sentiment the time spent racing in Podkarpacie during those two years – explained the Krosno speedway rider in an interview for ekstraliga.pl.
CELLFAST WILKI Krosno are also after the team presentation for the 2025 METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga season. Musielak noted that he’s not worried about the atmosphere in the team. – We’ve known each other with the boys for many years because each of us is an experienced rider. For example, Kenneth Bjerre has spent many years in speedway, and it’s hard not to know him. We’ve met in several clubs. The characters and the team are well matched, and there will definitely be no tensions – I’m confident of that – he said.
After the 2024 season ended, our interviewee returned to full health after a leg injury in 2023. Now, nothing stands in the way of him preparing for the 2025 season. – The procedure for removing the rod from my shin was deliberately planned for the end of November, to give the leg a rest and then start rehabilitation. Also, I plan to incorporate strict speedway training during that time. This was thought out. Initially, I went to the doctor without knowing that the entire hardware would be removed, as it was mainly 2 or 3 screws bothering me. The doctor found that it looked good enough to remove everything. I was pleased with this and it positively impacted my mental health – highlighted Musielak.
At the end of the year, in the pages of “Speedway Star” magazine, Tobiasz Musielak mentioned about the 2024 season, that he had high ambitions but started the season not being at full strength. Does the rider aim for the next year’s starts with lower expectations of himself? – The ambitions are always high, and I set the same goals for myself every year. However, I believe that if you’re not one hundred percent healthy and want to achieve good results, you have to be mentally well-prepared. You have to forcefully convince yourself that everything is okay so that your subconscious accepts it. Some things cannot be deceived, and after breaking my shin, I practically spent all my time in rehabilitation until the end of February. It was only at the beginning of March that I could start any exercises reminiscent of preseason preparations. It was tough for me. Now I know everything is on the right path not to neglect this period and to have time for preparation. The biggest weight has been lifted off my mind, and the screws in my leg are gone – he concluded.
