Bartosz Bańbor is this year’s silver medalist in the Youth Individual Championships of Poland, whose final took place on the track in Krosno. Jakub Krawczyk performed best, standing on the highest step of the podium. The bronze went to Oskar Paluch.

For the ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin rider, this is the second consecutive vice-championship of Poland among juniors. He won the first one last year in Lublin, when in an additional race he defeated Ratajczak, Paluch, and Pludra. During this year’s final in Krosno, he once again ‘grabbed’ silver by defeating Krawczyk in his last race. It was this point that determined the position at which Bańbor eventually placed.

I am very happy because I defended what I won last year. I showed it was not a coincidence and that’s what it was about – admitted the ORLEN OIL MOTOR rider. – The track was quite similar to what it always is here. No problems, very pleasant to ride. I felt good. I had good starts, and that is the most important. I like the track in Krosno and always somehow ride well here. It’s a bit like Tarnów, only with gentler bends – added the speedway rider.

The rider started his performance with two points. A slight move at the start significantly affected his motorcycle’s approach and speed. However, the junior quickly made up the lost distance and jumped to second place. – In the first race, as you know, emotions. I was already thinking about the start instead of holding onto the motorcycle, and I rode downhill. Hence the warning. Later, I already knew there was no room for such a mistake and that I had to be very careful because exclusion in such competitions is automatically the end of any chance for a title – said Bańbor. – In fact, after the first race, we changed the sprocket and only made minor cosmetic changes for the last race. It later turned out that these changes were much better. I think I lacked luck with that first race, but otherwise, I am satisfied. I am happy that at least I took away one point from Jakub. Emotions in the last race were high, but I already know how to handle them – he added.

Bartosz Bańbor can always count on unwavering support from family and friends, especially in such crucial moments of his career. – When the fan club came, I fought for them to make them happy, and I hope I succeeded – concluded the silver medalist of the Youth Individual Championships of Poland.
