For Kacper Łobodziński, the upcoming season will be his last as a junior. The BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz rider discusses, among other things, his preparations and plans for 2025 with ekstraliga.pl.

  • Kacper Łobodziński achieved an average of 1.306 points/race last season. It was the third-best among juniors in the PGE Ekstraliga.
  • In 2025, the BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz athlete will also compete in Sweden.
  • This year I focused a lot on improving my motor coordination, he said about his preparations for the season.

Marek Kania (ekstraliga.pl): Kacper, you’ve recently hit the track for the first time since the winter break. What are your thoughts after those outings?

Kacper Łobodziński (BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz): I think after those initial rides I managed to get a fairly good feel for my bikes. With each training session, I felt better and better. I’m ready to start from the tape and participate in pre-season scrimmages.

What did your preparations for the season look like? Were there any changes?

There were very few changes. This year I focused a lot on improving my motor coordination. In terms of strength and fitness, I am as prepared as every year, maybe even a bit better.

At the beginning of January, your social media featured many posts from your training sessions in Italy. Can you tell us about that?

This was my second winter trip to Sardinia. I spent a total of three weeks there, during which I had 12 training sessions. They mainly involved day-long riding on a cross bike. It greatly helps me with good fitness preparation and also allows me to maintain contact with the motorcycle, which is important before the season.

Last season was very successful for you – in terms of average, you were the third junior in the PGE Ekstraliga. Besides that, you secured second place in the Silver Helmet final and a bronze medal in the MMPPK. Can the upcoming season be even better for you?

Of course. This is a very important season for me, the last one as a junior. I would like to cap my junior career with the best result for the club and good individual performances. I have set a few goals for this year, but I prefer to keep them to myself. I always believe in working more and talking less.

Last season, Ryszard Dołomisiewicz was a member of your team. Will your collaboration continue this year?

That’s right, Mr. Dołomisiewicz will still be on my team. Last year, I was very satisfied with his help, and I’m glad we’ll be continuing our collaboration.

What do you think BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz is capable of this season?

We have a clear goal – to advance to the top four. Last year we were very close to advancing to the semi-finals. This year, we want to get into the playoffs and fight for medals.

This year, besides racing for BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz, you will also compete in the Swedish league.

Yes, I have signed a contract with Valsarna Hagfors for this season. It will be my first full season in the Swedish league. Due to the contract in Sweden, I had to buy a bit more equipment. I hope it will help me improve my skills and allow me to familiarize myself with new tracks and surfaces.

What should we wish you for the upcoming season?

Above all, a season without injuries and consistent, steady development.
