ARGED MALESA Ostrów interrupted the promising streak of H. SKRZYDLEWSKA ORŁA on their home track. One of the authors of the important three-point win was the well-scoring Wiktor Jasiński, who gave a quick interview to ekstraliga.pl immediately after the match.

On Sunday afternoon, on a very grippy track, the visitors from Ostrów Wielkopolski felt at home. From the very beginning, the athletes under Mariusz Staszewski showed good speed in their machines and, more importantly, chose the optimal paths of the day. Moto Arena Łódź itself saw two new records, ultimately held by Tobiasz Musielak. Wiktor Jasiński, who achieved the best individual result of the season (7 points in four starts), shared his thoughts on the match immediately.

Grzegorz Adamczyk (ekstraliga.pl): A great performance by the entire team, a win on challenging terrain, and you were named the rider of the match. Additionally, you broke the home team’s winning streak. How do you feel after such a match?

Wiktor Jasiński (ARGED MALESA Ostrów Wlkp.): Absolutely a great feeling. We found a very nice, grippy track, whereas we expected a somewhat harder surface. Nonetheless, the whole team liked it from the start. We scored evenly, and I’m particularly happy with my performance that day. Even my one exclusion didn’t ruin the overall picture; I just made a mistake, and that’s how this sport goes. Those two triples, the overall quick riding, and especially the three-point team win are very pleasing.

After the second race, we could observe very intense gesturing from Sebastian Szostak towards the referee. Did the team have any complaints about the track surface?

Maybe not the whole team, but Sebastian was riding at the very beginning when the track became too grippy. The maintenance during the break improved this a lot, and the surface behaved very well until the end of the match. In the first heats, everything was very fast; two track records during one series tell the story. We seldom see anything like this. Nevertheless, we finished the whole match safely, and that’s what matters.

You could say you finally broke through. Best result of the season, the middle part of the match was your showcase. What’s behind this?

Everything fell into place that day. The engines performed excellently on the grippy surface. I personally enjoy such conditions. I was riding great and competing even better over the distance. The guys from my team did a fantastic job, for which I thank them. The equipment pushed forward excellently, which all contributed to such a result. That makes me very happy.

Another win only reinforces the pre-season goal of re-entering the PGE Ekstraliga. Can we openly say you are “going hard for it”?

Yes, definitely! We feel strong and fast, and that’s certainly very important. We just need to maintain the speed until the end of the regular season and keep bringing points to enter the playoffs as table leaders. Then, we face new challenges, each match being a separate story. We need to win each successive clash to get to the grand final and do our job there. There’s still a long way to go, but this upward trend is very encouraging. I hope it stays that way until the end.
