Norbert Krakowiak, after a less successful season, decided to change clubs – moving from CELLFAST WIKÓW Krosno to ARGED MALESA Ostrów Wlkp. This decision is intended to help the rider rebuild in the METALKAS 2. Ekstraligi tracks. The speedway rider participated in the 72nd Chain Tournament of the Coat of Arms of the City of Ostrów Wielkopolski. He finished the competition in 3rd place (11 points).

The competition in Ostrów was delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions. The autumn weather and changing atmospheric conditions nearly thwarted the organizers’ plans. However, good decisions by the hosts allowed the competition to be completed. An additional race deciding the 2nd and 3rd place on the podium was also held.

The organizers did a great job. After removing the cover, it was evident that it had leaked a lot. Nonetheless, the track was very good from the beginning. Unfortunately, later on, the rain during the competition disrupted plans – it was very slippery, making the situation difficult, but we figured it out. Several times in my career, I’ve ridden in the rain, so I knew what to expect. I’m also learning new engines, so it was surely a useful competition before the winter break – explained Norbert Krakowiak.

For the new player of the local club, additional starts at the season’s end are a valuable dose of knowledge before the winter period. As the rider himself said, he is testing engines from a new tuner. – I’m glad that I’ve managed to tackle these problems slowly. I was testing new units from Peter Jones, and it all honestly looks good. I finished 2024 with two tournaments, and I was on the podium in both. I think this equipment partnership will develop because I really felt more confident. Unfortunately, it is like this, everything starts with equipment – good equipment helps build confidence and all aspects that affect the outcome – he recounted.

Krakowiak believes that there is no need to put pressure on himself or set specific point goals. He compares it to the previous season, which didn’t go as planned. – I operate under the assumption that I want to develop, feel good on the motorcycle, and enjoy riding, then the result comes naturally. I will also approach this in the upcoming season because it works best. I don’t want to talk about those result-oriented goals – the speedway rider evaluated.

The rider once again decided to change team colors. In the 2025 season, he decided to compete for ARGED MALESA Ostrów Wielkopolski. It turns out there were several reasons for choosing this club. – There are many aspects to choosing the team from Ostrów. The track is one of my favorites, I highly value coach Staszewski because I see the effects of his work with the youth, who ride very technically well. It’s clear that the coach knows what speedway is about. Also, history has come full circle because I took my exams here 10 years ago, so I’m really happy – he stated.

New engines and a new club won’t be the only changes in the rider’s life. Norbert Krakowiak also began studying at a higher education institution. However, he himself announces that not everything is changing. When it comes to mental preparation or maintaining physical fitness during the winter break, he will stick to old, proven solutions.

– When it comes to technical preparations, they will look different. As I mentioned, I have new engines from a new tuner, so we are learning that. I currently have this engine, but more are ordered, so that will be the change. As for physical and mental preparation, I think everything will be similar – he commented. – I am currently studying full-time at AWF, so I need to organize everything. Probably the times and amounts of training will be a bit different, but I will definitely be well-prepared – Krakowiak concluded.
