The first clash for the bronze medal in this year’s PGE Ekstraliga ended with the triumph of KS APATOR Toruń, who defeated EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów 46:43. The protégés of coach Piotr Baron, ahead of the rematch which will take place on October 5 in Toruń, are closer to winning the bronze medal and did not hide their satisfaction after the meeting in Gorzów.

The match was fierce and exciting from the outset. However, the guests had reasons to be happy. Paweł Przedpełski was satisfied with his performance. The captain of the visitors scored 8 points. – My result shows that speedway is still a constant chase for finding the right settings. When I was here a few weeks ago, I couldn’t adjust. These competitions may not have been perfect, but overall I chased the rivals and now this ride gave me joy – summarized the homegrown player of KS APATOR Toruń in an interview for ekstraliga.pl.

This season, the teams from Toruń and Gorzów have met for the fifth time. The Gorzów team was better in the last four starts. However, on Sunday the situation changed and the guests showed their strength. – The competition is still ongoing and we will see each other on Saturday at our rematch. Our recent meetings have shown that anything can happen and that no one should hang up the medals yet; anything can happen here. We are optimistic about Saturday’s clash – said Przedpełski.

Patryk Dudek also performed well at the Edward Jancarz stadium, scoring 10 points. – I always score ten points, but I can’t break this barrier and we are working on it. These are my feelings from this match. We managed to win by a minimal margin. We have a lead, but the fight continues – explained one of the leaders of KS APATOR Toruń.

The guests definitely performed better on the Gorzów oval. – Considering the previous matches we raced on this track this season, it was clear we could race wide. Now, during the 15 heats, we were riding narrowly, along the curb. Yet, I am pleased with the win. This time we made fewer mistakes than the hosts, and it is known that in every sport, the one who makes fewer mistakes theoretically wins – summarized Dudek.
