KS APATOR Toruń has won the bronze medal again and for the second time in a row, they can enjoy the title of 2nd vice-champion of Poland. Last year they celebrated the title at the stadium in Częstochowa, this time they could celebrate the triumph with their fans, on their home track.

It’s good that it turned out that we did it at Motoarena and it’s here that we could receive the medals and celebrate. The weather did its part and I’m very happy that we managed to maintain the advantage and put the dot on the “i” – summarized Patryk Dudek.

This was not an easy season for KS APATORA Toruń. At a certain point in the season, the team from Toruń was fighting to stay in the league. Ultimately, they finished the regular season in 4th place. They advanced to the semi-finals of the play-off phase as a lucky loser, racing against the team EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów without their leader, Emil Sajfutdinow. During the first semi-final match with ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin, faith returned, the charges of Piotr Baron defeated the Polish Champions 51:39, but in Lublin they already succumbed 31:59.

– I always start with the assumption that the first phase of the season is the advancement to the play-off phase, in which we start everything from zero. Actually, the peak of the form, in our case, came right in the play-offs. I think it was very good, but it can’t be planned. This season was a big rollercoaster. This match showed it, I was not really completely satisfied after any race – admitted Dudek.
