EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów lost the second-leg match for the bronze medals against KS APATOR Toruń and ultimately finished the season in fourth place. The result could have been better if not for injuries, and Oskar Fajfer spoke about the course of the two-legged match and the injuries within the team.

The team EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów ultimately lost the battle for the bronze medal in the PGE Ekstraliga and finished the season in fourth place. The reasons for this situation after the match at Motoarena were explained by Oskar Fajfer, who returned from injury to the lineup for the decisive matches. – It’s sad, looking at the colleagues from Toruń being on the podium. But that’s how sports are. We were troubled by injuries in the final part of the season. During the match, unfortunately, we lost Martin Vaculik, I came back, but it’s a partial joy through tears. I hadn’t raced for four weeks. It’s hard to get into the match rhythm. Anders was also feeling the effects of a fall in Pardubice. All this accumulated, making us look much weaker – explained Fajfer.

It can’t be denied that another reason for poorer performances might be the turmoil around the club, such as the separation from coach Stanisław Chomski. – We are at this sports level where each of us must be able to clear our head before the tape, before the match. Everyone approaches it one hundred percent professionally. You have to know how to handle it – replied the homegrown talent of Gniezno’s Start.

The season for the player has already ended, so it’s time for reflection on this season and preparation for the next. Fajfer revealed what’s next. – I’m thinking about repairing myself as quickly as possible. In the match, I rode, but it’s an attempt to save myself by getting on the motorcycle. My form is far from what I would like. We will continue to think – he noted.

At the same time, the domestic senior of Gorzów admitted how serious the injury turned out to be. – I have torn ligaments in my knee, and both menisci are also very severely damaged. I’m glad I could even get on the motorcycle and help the team – shared Fajfer.

Such a severe injury had its signs during the match. – Reconstruction awaits me. As of today, I couldn’t even perform basic tasks, like raking a rut with that right leg because I felt instability. Winter is long, so I know I’ll be ready for March – he added.

At the very end, the player summarized the season in his performance, admitting that his debut season turned out much better than the current one. – A lot of nervousness initially with the engines. The whole team with equipment turned upside down. It didn’t ride at all. I spent a lot of time adjusting the new engines. I tried to save the season with a new tuner. Now I already know what to base the next season on, which allows me to approach next year calmly – concluded Oskar Fajfer.
