Kacper Woryna can definitely consider his performance in Chorzów as successful. The speedway rider took third place in both the tournament at the Silesian Stadium and in the entire Speedway European Championship series, ending the season with a medal.

Woryna didn’t feel good on the difficult Chorzów track from the very beginning of Saturday’s competition. What was the reason? – That was the setup I had. From the beginning, we didn’t have what we needed and there were mistakes on my part as well as in the search for the right adjustments, but later I gritted my teeth and knew that the chance for a silver medal was still there – said the speedway rider of KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa after the competition.

More than 20,000 fans, including well-known sports personalities, gathered in the famous “Witches’ Cauldron.” Among them were Mikkel Michelsen and former Polish national soccer team coach Jerzy Brzęczek. – The fans’ support was more audible than I had anticipated. Standing under the tape, it echoed loudly, so the support was definitely felt – observed Woryna.

The 28-year-old also couldn’t complain about his motorcycles. – I have engines and equipment from the highest shelf from the best team in the world, RK Racing, so only I could mess it up – he said with a smile right after the European Championship medal ceremony.

I didn’t have any particular expectations before these competitions. The hype was more external than within our team, where there was calmness. We know what to expect and how unpredictable these competitions can be. The fight for the medals went until the last race. Of course, everyone is most interested in gold, but before the start of the series, I would have taken bronze without any doubt – concluded Kacper Woryna.
