Last weekend, KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ was presented at the Jurajska Gallery in Częstochowa. The entire team of the four-time Team Polish Champions attended the event, including new acquisitions like Jason Doyle, Kacper Woryna, and Piotr Pawlicki. The team’s coach, Mariusz Staszewski, was also present. “I think the event was nice, mainly in terms of attendance. Fans showed up. You can be satisfied. Fans welcomed us optimistically. Therefore, we look to the future with optimism,” Staszewski commented on the event’s progress in a conversation for ekstraliga.pl.

Recently, the team from Częstochowa was on a training camp in Szczyrk. As the coach emphasized, the main aim of this trip was team integration. “It is mainly an integration camp. A large part of our team is new, as am I. Therefore, we decided to organize such a camp to get to know each other better and closer. So we focus especially on spending as much time together as possible,” he stated.
As every year, with spring approaching, expectations for conducting the first training sessions increase. When are they tentatively planned by the team from Częstochowa? “The plans regarding going to the track are, as always, to do it as early as possible—preferably at the beginning of March. Everything, however, will depend on the weather,” the coach replied.
In 2025, KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ is primarily expected to fight for staying in the top league. However, for the past few weeks or even months, representatives of the club have been saying that the people of Częstochowa will even try to make it to the PGE Ekstraliga play-offs. How does Mariusz Staszewski relate to this? “Looking at the names in the team, they are really cool. But it’s not just about the names, mainly it’s about each of the boys riding at their good level. And then there shouldn’t be any big problems with achieving a positive result in the upcoming season,” the new coach of the team from Częstochowa stated in a conversation for ekstraliga.pl.

Even now, among fans, there is a lot of discussion about how the people from Częstochowa will enter this year’s battles in the PGE Ekstraliga. KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ will play their first match on April 11 on their home ground against BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz. Mariusz Staszewski emphasizes that each of the matches in the upcoming season, which is approaching fast, could be very crucial for his team. “Every match will be important for us; there are no others in the PGE Ekstraliga. As for the team from Grudziądz, you could say they’re a rival ‘from our shelf.’ It will certainly be very important to settle the match to our advantage,” he added.

The 50-year-old has already ridden in the past for the Częstochowa club. This took place in the years 1998-2000. In the 1999 season, he significantly contributed to MALMA WŁÓKNIARZ earning a berth to the speedway Ekstraliga established a year later. Now he’s back on Olsztyńska in a completely new role. How does he feel about this fact? “At the moment, I feel very good. I hope it will be similar after the season,” he concluded.
