Even Match in Gorzów. Narrow Win for KS APATOR

The first competition for the bronze medal in this year’s PGE Ekstraliga ended in favor of the guests, who won 46:43. In the EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów team, Martin Vaculik (14) was practically unbeatable. Among the KS APATOR Toruń riders, Emil Sajfutdinow (12) performed the best.

The initial race of the meeting ended in a victory for EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów. Riding from the second lane, Patryk Dudek overpowered Szymon Woźniak right after the start. However, he soon made a mistake that Martin Vaculik exploited, securing a race victory for the hosts. In the youth clash, leading Jakub Stojanowski fell at the top of the second turn and was excluded from the rerun. In the second run, the guest pair took the lead, which Oskar Paluch tried to split over three laps. At one point, Antoni Kawczyński fell on the track, thus not reaching the finish. After the first series of races, KS APATOR Toruń was ahead with a one-point lead of 12:11.

At the halfway mark, KS APATOR Toruń led EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów 21:20. In the 8th race, the hosts won a double victory for the first time in this match, but the score still remained close to a tie.

And it stayed that way throughout the entire match. Both teams alternated in winning. The issue was resolved only in the last race of the evening. There, the pair Sajfutdinow – Lambert secured a race win, thereby sealing the victory for KS APATOR in the first of the final matches with 46:43.

The rematch is scheduled for October 5th (4:00 PM). Broadcast on ELEVEN SPORTS 1.
