EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów wins in Toruń

In the first match of the PGE Ekstraliga quarterfinals, EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów won in Toruń against the local KS APATOR 48:42. Thus, the team from Gorzów took the first step towards the semifinals.

It seemed like it would be the most interesting match of the PGE Ekstraliga quarterfinals. However, the team from Gorzów started strong. Martin Vaculik and Oskar Fajfer defeated Patryk Dudek and Wiktor Lampart 5:1. The home team’s advantage increased after the 4th race (15:9).

The team from Toruń counterattacked in the 5th race, winning it 5:1. Wiktor Lampart and Robert Lambert, replacing Emil Sayfutdinov, managed to reduce the deficit to two points. After seven races, it was 22:20 in favor of EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów.

The two-point advantage for the visitors remained until they took the lead again. In the 8th race, Vaculik and Jakub Miśkowiak defeated the leaders from Toruń, Robert Lambert and Patryk Dudek, 4:2.

Another lead increase came from the duo of Anders Thomsen and Oskar Paluch, who triumphed 5:1 over Pawel Przedpelski and Wiktor Lampart. At that point, the score was 34:26 for the mentees of Stanislaw Chomski.

EBUT.PL STAL essentially sealed the win in the 13th race, after which the visitors led 44:34. In the nominated races, the home team managed to recover some points (winning 4:2 and 5:1, respectively), and ultimately, before the rematch in Gorzów, EBUT.PL STAL holds a 6-point advantage.
