ŻUŻEL/NEWS/PGEE: Can Leon Madsen Repeat His Success at MAXTO ITS IMME Zenon Plech from 8 Years Ago?

Only about 23 days separate us from this year’s edition of the MAXTO ITS Individual International Championship Extraliga named after Zenon Plech, which will take place at the Łódź Moto Arena on April 4th. For the newly contracted STELMET FALUBAZU rider, Leon Madsen, it will be the tenth edition of the tournament in which he will participate.

• This year’s edition will be his tenth appearance in the Individual International Championship Extraliga named after Z. Plech.

The 2024 season was extremely successful for the former player from the Częstochowa club. The speedway rider ended the season with a race point average of 2.416, placing him in 3rd place in PGE Ekstraliga’s individual standings, ahead of Robert Lambert among others. For a long time, he remained the leader of the team from Jasna Góra. However, starting from the 2025 season, he will defend the colors of STEMLET FALUBAZU Zielona Góra.

• 2016 – 19th place – average 1.864 points/race
• 2017 – 4th place – average 2.181 points/race
• 2018 – 2nd place – average 2.443 points/race

• 2020 – 4th place – average 2.206 points/race
• 2021 – 5th place – average 2.219 points/race
• 2022 – 4th place – average 2.275 points/race

In the IMME tournament named after Zenon Plech, Madsen hasn’t had the same luck as in league competitions. So far, he has only managed to stand on the podium three times. The remaining tournaments he finished outside the top five.

The Dane will undoubtedly do everything he can to reclaim a victory in the season-opening competition. So far, he has only managed it once, in 2017. This year’s edition would therefore be ideal to “refresh” that winning feeling and stand on the podium of the Individual International Championship Extraliga named after Zenon Plech.

Reduced tickets are intended for children and young people up to the age of eighteen. Only they are entitled to this type of discount for MAXTO ITS IMME named after Z. Plech. School IDs or identity cards of those holding reduced tickets will be checked upon stadium entry. The VIP ticket includes a parking space and a program of the event.
