ŻUŻEL/NEWS/PGEE: Martin Vaculik still without a victory in MAXTO ITS IMME named after Zenon Plech

The upcoming edition of MAXTO ITS IMME named after Zenon Plech will be the ninth edition in which Martin Vaculik will participate. The Slovak has come close to victory several times, but has never managed to clinch 1st place. Will the GEZET STAL Gorzów competitor break his streak and win this time?

The 2024 season can be considered successful for Martin Vaculik. An average of 2.151 allowed him to place 7th in the ranking of the best riders of the PGE Extraliga. A similar number of points scored in both home and away matches confirms the consistent form of the GEZET STAL Gorzów competitor (respectively 92 and 96 “points”).

Martin Vaculik is one of the most titled competitors regularly participating in the Individual International Championships of the Zenon Plech Extraliga. The Slovak speedway racer has competed in the tournament eight times and often achieved high results. Although he has frequently been close to the end triumph, this result is still beyond his reach.

His first appearances in IMME named after Z. Plech were in 2014 and 2015, when Vaculik twice made it to the top, finishing in 3rd and 4th place, respectively. His performance in the 2014 season was particularly impressive when he scored 13 points and narrowly lost the fight for victory. After a few years’ break, he returned to competition in 2019 and immediately proved his class, again securing 3rd place, scoring 12 points. In the following years, his results were variable – in 2020, he placed 13th, and the year after finished 11th, recording his weakest performances in his competition history.

However, Vaculik hasn’t said his last word. In 2022, he re-entered the top “ten,” finishing the tournament in 7th place, and in 2023 he was close to victory, finishing in 2nd place with 12 points. It was his best result in years, showing that he is still in contention for the highest goals.

In the last edition of IMME named after Zenon Plech, in 2024, he once again displayed solid form, finishing 5th and scoring 10 points. Although the title still eludes him, his consistency and determination make him one of the main contenders for victory in subsequent editions.

Reduced tickets are available for children and youth up to eighteen years of age. Only they are entitled to this kind of discount for MAXTO ITS IMME named after Z. Plech. School IDs or IDs will be checked for those holding reduced tickets before entering the stadium. The VIP ticket includes a parking spot and a program for the event.
