At 7:00 PM on Saturday, the final round of this year’s Speedway Grand Prix cycle will take place at Torun’s Motoarena. Bartosz Zmarzlik already sealed the World Championship title during the previous round in Vojens, but the other medals have not yet been awarded.

The main contenders for the silver and bronze medals will be Robert Lambert and Fredrik Lingren. The Brit is currently in 2nd place in the standings with 137 points, while the Swede has amassed 127 points. They are the main pretenders for the podium alongside Zmarzlik, especially considering that Lambert will be competing on his home track, which he seems to know inside out. Martin Vaculik and Daniel Bewley also have mathematical chances for the bronze medal, but their hopes mainly rely on a catastrophic performance by Lindgren.

Mikkel Michelsen might talk about bad luck, as he will not participate in the 11th round of the Speedway Grand Prix due to injury. The Dane is currently in 6th place in the overall standings with 101 points. Right behind him are Jack Holder with 97 points and Dominik Kubera with 88 points. Kim Nilsson will replace the injured Michelsen.

Patryk Dudek might also make an impact during the Torun round, as he will compete with a wild card. The Pole is in great form and will certainly want to show that he deserves to compete in the cycle. The reserve roles will be filled by Oskar Paluch and Krzysztof Lewandowski.

The starting numbers for the main Grand Prix tournament were decided by qualifying rounds. Bartosz Zmarzlik won the qualifiers, Martin Vaculik was second, and Fredrik Lindgren was third. The other Poles performed as follows: Maciej Janowski finished sixth, Dominik Kubera eighth, Szymon Woźniak eleventh, and Patryk Dudek fourteenth.
