Will Riga once again belong to Bartosz Zmarzlik? (preview of the 2024 OLYBET FIM SGP of Latvia)

After the immense emotions delivered by the youth riders on Friday evening in the SGP2 series, it’s time for the senior riders to compete. The start of the tournament in Riga is scheduled for 18:00 Polish time. The broadcast will be on the MAX platform.

Last year, the event in the Latvian capital was won by Bartosz Zmarzlik. The second and third places on the podium were taken by Fredrik Lindgren and Martin Vaculik respectively.

After eight rounds, the leader of the standings remains Bartosz Zmarzlik with a total of 121 points. In the second and third places, fifteen points behind, are Fredrik Lindgren and Robert Lambert.

The fastest was Mikkel Michelsen (15.177), who had never won a qualifying round before. The second-best time was by Daniel Bewley (15.186). The third starting number was picked by Martin Vaculik (15.198). Among the Poles, the best performance was by Maciej Janowski, who placed 5th with a time of 15.242 s. Szymon Woźniak was in 7th place. The riders from ORLEN OIL MOTORU LublinBartosz Zmarzlik and Dominik Kubera, performed slightly worse with 13th and 14th times respectively.

With a wild card in the 2024 OLYBET FIM SGP of Latvia, Daniils Kolodinskis will compete. The reserve riders are Francis Gusts and Ricards Ansviesulis.
