The last Sunday of the 2024 regular season in the PGE Ekstraliga promises to be exceptionally hot. It has been a long time since such an exciting day in the world of speedway. Each competing team needs to stay fully focused to achieve their goal.
Unexpectedly, the day will start with a competition in Grudziądz. We will witness the second attempt at a match between the local team ZOOLESZCZ GKM and KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa. The Friday match was interrupted after 5 heats due to heavy rain. The match promises to be extremely exciting as the play-off phase is within reach for both teams.
There has been one change in the visitor’s announced lineup – Kacper Halkiewicz has been replaced by Kajetan Kupiec.

For the second match, we will move to Zielona Góra. The hosts must win for it not to be their last outing on the track this season. Despite having 11 points to their name, they still don’t have a guaranteed spot in the play-off phase.
Nonetheless, the team of NOVYHOTEL FALUBAZ Zielona Góra has reasons to be happy. After a demanding season and many close matches, they will probably achieve their goal in the PGE Ekstraliga. However, much depends on the good performance of the Pawlicki brothers.
KS APATOR Toruń experienced moments of terror before their away match of the regular round. The team leader, Emil Sajfutdinow (avg. 2.2 points/heat), was involved in a serious crash on the track during a British league match. According to the official statement, there were no breaks. The rider suffered an extensive cut on his buttock, and through his social media, he announced he would not participate in the upcoming match in Zielona Góra. Sajfutdinow will have to stay in England over the weekend.

Meanwhile, in the next match, FOGO UNIA Leszno will present themselves for the last time this season in front of their home crowd. The team from Wielkopolska did not have an easy season. The injuries of key players and the poor form of Bartosz Smektała have resulted in the team needing to win by 3 points to think about staying in the PGE Ekstraliga. The charges of Rafał Okoniewski will face EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów.
The silver medalists of DMP 2022 need one point to secure second place after the regular round. The team led by Stanisław Chomski will test their readiness for the next part of the season, especially Szymon Woźniak, who will show if he is ready to help his team in the fight for medals.
