Vadim Tarasenko: Finally, I know what I desire

Vadim Tarasenko has had a breakthrough season in the PGE Ekstraliga. With ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz, he secured the twentieth place in the individual classification, and the team managed to advance to the playoffs, which was a historic achievement. He spoke about this and his career in the ‘Training Makes a Master’ program on TVP 3 Bydgoszcz.

Tarasenko can certainly be satisfied with the 2024 season, but as he emphasizes, he wants more. – We are proud of the work and progress we are making, but this is not the ceiling of my capabilities – the ZOOLESZCZ GKM rider said to TVP 3 Bydgoszcz.

Asked further where that ceiling is, he replied: – My dream is not to lose any race during the season. Maybe two with bonuses or three, but not to finish behind a competitor. If something like this happens, I will make history and then end my career – stated the Grudziądz resident.

In 2023, Tarasenko won 13% of his races in the PGE Ekstraliga. This year, it is already 20%. – I think I am halfway through my career. Finally, I know what I desire, I have matured mentally, and the most important thing is that I am making progress – we heard on TVP 3 Bydgoszcz.

How does team work at ZOOLESZCZ GKM work out for him? – I would say everyone works for success. We always try to solve problems so that it’s best for everyone. Surely, since it’s a bit of an individual sport, but when we work for common success, that takes a back seat because it’s also worth not hindering each other in certain aspects – he summed up.

The rider is also a good partner in riding, as statistics show. The 30-year-old has earned sixteen bonuses this season, placing him tenth in the league in this regard. – I believe that Vadim is someone good to have around. He brings a lot of positives – said his colleague Michael Jespsen Jensen.
