U24 Ekstraliga: Who Will Reach the Training Competition Final? (Preview of the 18th Round)

The final, 18th round of the U24 Ekstraliga is ahead of us, and it promises to be extremely exciting. This is the last chance to improve one’s position in the standings and secure a place in the final, making the stakes high and every race crucial. The young riders will compete for points in the regular season at stadiums in Leszno, Gorzów, and Toruń. The clash between GRUDZIĄDZKIE MEBELKI GKM Grudziądz and U24 BECKHOFF SPARTA Wrocław will take place on September 3rd. 

The POLCOPPER AGROMIX UNIA Leszno team currently holds third place in the standings, trailing the leader by two points and the runner-up by one. A win against FALUBAZ Zielona Góra might not be enough to secure a place in the final. The decisive matches will also involve teams from Gorzów and Wrocław. The first match between the teams ended with a victory for Leszno, 47:43

The Gorzów team will welcome the youth of ORLEN CELLFAST WILKI Krosno at their venue. The visiting team won the first match, securing a six-point advantage for the return match (48:42). However, ENEA STAL Gorzów will aim to capitalize on their home track advantage to win the match, grab the full set of points, and maintain their position as runners-up in the standings. The Krosno riders face a tough challenge, as the Edward Jancarz Stadium has remained unbeaten for many rounds.

They will still fight for every point to finish this year’s competition in the highest possible rankings. The match in Częstochowa ended with a resounding victory for KS Toruń, who won 52:38.
