02.01.2025 09:46The path to the top, its course, and the next goals – conversation with Szymon Szlauderbach – athlete of HUNTERS PSŻ Poznań
Interview with Szymon Szlauderbach, athlete of HUNTERS PSŻ Poznań, conducted by Mateusz Grynienko, a student of class IV e at III High School in Bydgoszcz named after Adam Mickiewicz, created as part of the SPEEDWAY YOUNG JOURNALIST ACADEMY.
Mateusz Grynienko: – What is the biggest challenge for you in the profession of a speedway rider?
Szymon Szlauderbach: – Definitely the desire to improve my results and develop, that is my challenge, to become a better rider year by year and achieve successes that every athlete strives for.
Speaking of successes, do you perhaps have any individual goals for the new season?
I don’t have individual goals, every year I set the bar higher to score more points, and for my riding to look better. Development and striving for greater professionalism is the main goal.
Do you have any idols in speedway or everyday life?
When I wasn’t riding speedway yet, there were a few idols, at the moment there are many great riders to look up to, but I don’t have one particular person I emulate.
Do you have a particular moment that you like to return to in your career so far?
It’s hard to pick one, but certainly, some individual or team successes have stayed in my CV, and it’s very pleasant to return to them.
Do you see your performances in Poznań as a temporary stage in your career, or do you think of this club more long-term?
This season I became very attached to this club, it was our first season together, and I think the club is growing at a rapid pace. I treat this club as an ideal place for development, and at the moment everything is fine, so I think it would be nice to strive for better results together.
Do you have a dream to return one day to Unia Leszno?
It’s the club where I grew up and spent the most years, so we’ll see what the future holds, of course, I am also a fan of this team and wish it all the best.
