Race of the 2024 Season in PGE Ekstraliga (video)

The fourteenth race of the incredibly exciting Lubusz Derby in the 4th round of PGE Ekstraliga between NOVYHOTEL FALUBAZ Zielona Góra and EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów turned out to be the race of the 2024 season.

The SPEEDWAY CANAL+ editorial selection awarded the Szczakiel Award for Best Race of the Season to Anders Thomsen. The Dane, who was the main protagonist of the derby spectacle, made his way from last to first place in the penultimate race of the day, snatching victory at the very finish line.

– I remember this race as if it were yesterday. I rode the same engine as last time in Toruń – said a delighted rider from EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów during the 2024 PGE Ekstraliga Gala, receiving his first career Szczakiel award on Canal+ television.
