The meeting between KS APATOR Toruń and KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ ended with a victory for the hosts 49:41. The bonus point was earned by the team from Częstochowa. – The juniors deserve special recognition – said Piotr Baron, who summarized the performance of his protégés.

– We expected a very tough match and it was. KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ always knows how to ride here very well. Regardless of whether the track is hard or sticky. Once again, they showed that they are a tough opponent. We managed to win, so I am very happy about that. We have more challenges ahead of us. The juniors deserve special recognition. Antoni Kawczyński showed great behavior, and Krzysztof Lewandowski also stepped up as needed. The work is slowly bearing fruit, and we need them in such matches. They proved that they are thoroughbred riders, and they can compete with anyone. I thank them very much and congratulate them on such a performance – summarized Piotr Baron.

Right before the match, the stadium announcer announced that Patryk Dudek had extended his contract with KS APATOR Toruń until 2025. The Pole repaid the team that day by scoring the best result – 13 points and a bonus. We also cannot overlook his great performances during the Individual Polish Championships; it is clear that he is in form, and we can only wait to see if he will manage to return to the Grand Prix pack in 2025.

– I feel good. I am following my own rhythm, we are not making mistakes when it comes to equipment settings, and it looks good. To be honest, the angles here vary. This is my third season, and I have not figured out these lines 100%. I am doing everything to look the best I can. GP Challenge is on October 4th, I invite those interested to Pardubice, and then we shall see, but we will fight for sure – summed up Dudek.

Wiktor Lampart cannot count this match as successful. After two heats without scoring any points, the Toruń coach decided to replace him with the juniors. – Changes for Wiktor Lampart were not planned. Wiktor was supposed to ride and score his points. Once again, he let us down, and we will look for solutions. I will say that the club is not sleeping in this regard. However, in the match with ZOOLESZCZ GKM, we will see how the juniors and Wiktor will ride – admitted the KS APATOR coach.

In the third heat, Paweł Przedpełski and Maksym Drabik fell on the track. The Częstochowa rider stood up rather quickly, while medics and even an ambulance approached the captain of the Toruń team. Ultimately, Przedpełski got up by himself and continued riding in the later part of the competition. Although he only managed to score three points.

– Yes, Paweł felt significant effects of the fall. A large, very painful blister appeared on his back. I do not hide that it caused him problems. It is really a pity about that fall because it disrupted his start – said coach Baron.

On Sunday morning, fans might have been worried about the storm that broke out over Toruń. The match was not in danger, but the rain could have disrupted plans for proper track preparation. – Indeed, the day before, we decided to spread foil on the track. That saved the competition, because certainly, there would not have been any racing on that track. We would have had a single lane, and the track was good for us, and we managed to win – admitted Piotr Baron.
