KS Toruń held their first training before the 2025 season. The bronze medalists from last season defeated HUNTERS PSŻ Poznań 56:34. Piotr Baron, the coach of the 2024 PGE Ekstraliga bronze medalists, was openly pleased with the opportunity to ride on a different track.

  • The coach emphasized the benefits of riding on a different track than Motoarena.
  • Emil Sajfutdinow and Jan Kvech will not participate in the Sunday training with STELMET FALUBAZEM Zielona Góra due to media obligations in England.

The track was very well prepared, and we were able to ride away from home, which is great. We have already done a lot of training at home. It is a completely different track: longer and with a different geometry. I think we gained valuable experience – commented Piotr Baron.

Trainings are characterized by a lot of engine and setup testing under specific track conditions. The same was true for the Toruń riders. – The guys tried different equipment options, stronger and weaker engines. I think and hope that along with their teams, they drew good conclusions – emphasized the Toruń coach.

On Sunday (March 23), the second training session of KS Toruń will take place. This time they will host a team from the PGE Ekstraliga – STELMET FALUBAZ Zielona Góra. However, it’s already known that the hosts will compete in this match with a reduced lineup.

Emil Sajfutdinow and Jan Kvech will not participate. Both have Press Day in England, so we will compete without them. But we’ll manage, and Grzegorz Zengota will join as a guest. Otherwise, the lineup will be similar to the one in Poznań – explained the manager of KS Toruń.

Piotr Baron is known for making few changes to the lineup during the season. Can the lineup from the Poznań match be an indication of the pair arrangement that will be used in away games by the Toruń team?

We’ll see how things turn out, in what form the riders will be. We will ride with other teams, and then it will be easier to assess and assign numbers to the riders – concluded Piotr Baron.
