On Sunday, EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów defeated KS APATOR Toruń 51:39, and in the entire two-legged match 99:81. Despite the loss, Torunianie could also celebrate advancing to the PGE Ekstraliga semifinals, thanks to their higher place in the table after the regular season. The overall struggles were summarized by the captain of the guests, Paweł Przedpełski, and the junior of the home team, Oskar Paluch.

The match was tough and exciting from the very beginning. Both teams had reasons to be happy. Nevertheless, Paweł Przedpełski was not satisfied with his performance, as he scored 1 point and a bonus. – Unfortunately, my performance was very weak. I do not feel that I significantly contributed to this team success. I tried everything, on one motorcycle and then the other, but nothing worked. I am very pleased that we have a longer season and there will be an opportunity to fight for medals – summarized the captain of KS APATOR Toruń in an interview for ekstraliga.pl.

Disciples of Piotr Baron will face ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin in the semifinal match. In the regular season, Torunianie performed quite well against the current Polish champion. – This is probably the most important part of the season for us, and I have a lot of work ahead of me these upcoming days. I can ride on speedway, but I cannot catch the speed, I need to find it. We all have a hunger for medals, each of us wants to advance. ORLEN OIL MOTOR is a strong opponent. At this stage of the competition, there are no weak teams – said Przedpełski.

Oskar Paluch couldn’t hide his joy after the match. The young rider from EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów had his best performance in PGE Ekstraliga, scoring 11 points and 2 bonuses. – I think this was my best performance in PGE Ekstraliga so far. In the 14th race, I won against Robert Lambert. I believe it was a successful competition for me, and I am satisfied – summarized the alumni of the Gorzów club.

For the first time in his PGE Ekstraliga career, Paluch won a nominated race. – It always puts more pressure on me, especially since I don’t ride in the nominated races very often. It is definitely something new for me, and I am very happy about it. Each of us had to give 200 percent to replace Oskar Fajfer. I think we performed well, and we wish Oskar good health and hope he returns to us as quickly as possible – explained the junior of EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów.
