Marcin Murawski summarized the 2024 season. What will change next year?

Behind the BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz team is a successful season crowned with a historic advancement to the play-off phase in the PGE Ekstraliga.

The players coached by Robert Kościecha rose to the occasion despite problems in the first part of the season and in the absence of the team’s injured leader – Jason Doyle reached the peak of their skills.

I felt like the ceiling had fallen on my head. The prospect of finishing the season without a leader, with no players on the market, put us in front of a huge problem. It was the most critical moment of the season – evaluated the passing year, Marcin Murawski president of BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz.

The management of the Grudziądz club took a risk and contracted Michael Jepsen Jensen, who at that time had only one match played in the colors of #ORZECHOWAOSADA PSŻ Poznań. The former participant of the Speedway Grand Prix cycle without much hesitation moved up by one level from METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga and took up the challenge of saving the season for the Pigeons.

No one expected Michael to take a place in the TOP 10 of the PGE Ekstraliga. That’s an achievement. It was also a turning point for us because he brought new energy and motivated everyone to act. He boosted this club and it went in the right direction. In my tenure, it’s probably the transfer of a lifetime. I previously dreamed of hitting a season’s discovery, and for me, Jensen was that – said the president of the Grudziądz BAYERSYSTEM GKM in a conversation with the club’s television.

Marcin Murawski is encouraged by the growing attendance at the stadium on Hallera Street in Grudziądz. In an interview with Gazeta Pomorska, he also mentions plans to expand the stadium and a new face in Robert Kościecha’s team.

We thought the peak of interest was already behind us, but those numbers are growing. We have great plans to organize a Super VIP zone. A fan who would purchase such a pass would have access to the VIP room, a parking space, or a separate entrance to the stadium – explains the club’s chairman from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

When it suddenly turned out that EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów released coach Stanisław Chomski, I immediately made a phone call to Jakub Miśkowiak’s team to return to talks. They needed more time, they were not raising the stakes anymore, but they wanted time to think. For us, it was a risk – commented on Jakub Miśkowiak’s transfer, president of BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz.

Will the risks taken during the transfer window pay off once again? As always, we will find out at the start of the 2025 season.
