Marcel Kowolik: I’m keeping my fingers crossed for league racing in Świętochłowice

Marcel Kowolik had a very good competition in Świętochłowice. Ultimately, after an additional race, he ended the 1st round of the MACEC Cup in 2nd place. The tournament was won by Andriej Karpow. During an interview for ekstraliga.pl, the competitor did not hide his slight dissatisfaction.

I have a slight dissatisfaction. It’s a pity about that additional race. Mainly because I wanted the electric bike – said Marcel Kowolik.

The young rider represents the colors of BETARD SPARTA Wrocław, but he is from Świętochłowice. As he admits, riding on the track in his hometown is a significant experience. – It’s really nice that I could show myself here. You could say I was riding at home, in front of my own fans. It was a great pleasure – emphasized the junior.

Currently, there is a strong chance of league speedway returning to Świętochłowice. – I heard about it, and I support it, hoping it becomes a reality – noted Kowolik briefly.

For the young vice-champions of Poland, the 2024 season was his debut in the PGE Ekstraliga. – It was okay. Of course, it could always have been better – summed up the junior of BETARD SPARTA Wrocław.

For Kowolik, it was also the first PGE Ekstraliga gala of his career. – It definitely made a big impression. A well-organized event. Really nice people. I really enjoyed myself – he evaluated.

The 2025 season will be the second in the career of the athlete from BETARD SPARTA Wrocław. Kowolik is currently focusing on rest. – I will have two weeks off and after that, I will start winter training for the new season – concluded Marcel Kowolik.
