BETARD SPARTA Wrocław, in the second quarter-final match, defeated the ZOOLESZCZ GKM team in Grudziądz 49:41. Maciej Janowski scored 9 points and a bonus for the guest team.

The captain of the Wrocław team was pleased with the result achieved in Grudziądz. – We started the match very well, which brought a lot of calmness to our ranks. The hosts were a bit lost at the beginning, but over time they became significantly faster. I was slower, but the rest of the team was in very good shape– said Maciej Janowski in an interview with ekstraliga.pl.

The three-time Individual Polish Champion, the day before the match in Grudziądz, had a dangerous-looking crash during the Speedway Grand Prix round in Wrocław, which affected the captain’s performance in the match against ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz. – I worked with a physiotherapist all morning. My ride was stiff, I felt a lot of discomfort. I completely missed one of the starts, but I’m glad I was able to fight on the track at least in the early phase of the match – said the 33-year-old.

The win in Grudziądz was the first away victory for BETARD SPARTA Wrocław this season. – We finally managed to break the away losing streak, better late than never. This is a good sign for all of us before the PGE Ekstraliga semi-final – summarized Janowski.
