KS APATOR Toruń won the rematch at Motoarena against EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów 54:36 (100:79 aggregate) and secured the bronze medals of the PGE Ekstraliga 2024. After the match, Krzysztof Lewandowski talked about the secret of his rebuilt form at the end of the season and his plans for the coming days.

Michał Kesler (ekstraliga.pl): Congratulations on your impressive performance on the track and the medal won. The road to the Ekstraliga podium was not easy and extremely bumpy this season. Please tell us, which element did you work on the hardest recently, and what influenced your ability to rise to the occasion in critical moments.

Krzysztof Lewandowski (KS APATOR Toruń): I believe that since the last match of the regular round against ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin, I managed to develop a certain consistent, favorable form. The exception might be the semi-final against the mentioned team from Lublin, where many things did not go as I planned. I, along with my entire team, put in a lot of work to be able to compete at the highest level. The key was to unlock barriers in the mind, as I likely never lacked quality equipment and skills. As a result, hard work paid off, and we can see the effect.

During the meeting, we learned that Mikkel Michelsen and Jan Kvech will join KS APATOR next season. How did the team react to these reinforcements? Do you think the transfers will contribute to achieving the championship aspirations?

The real verification of the moves made will be the first few matches of the new season. At this stage, it’s just guessing. Both I and my teammates approach everything with a cool head. We want to definitively close this season and go on a well-deserved vacation.

Do you already have a plan of action that will allow you to maintain a proper presence on the track? How will you spend the coming months?

First and foremost, continue working consistently with a mental coach and focus on what has been effective until now. After returning from vacation, I’ll immediately head to the gym to once again be the best version of myself in the 2025 season
