ABRAMCZYK POLONIA Bydgoszcz started the final competition of METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga with a defeat in Rybnik against the local INNPRO ROW team 40:50. Throughout the first clash, much happened involving Krzysztof Buczkowski. The guest rider was excluded from the rerun of the 7th race and also rode in the 15th race as a tactical reserve for Andreas Lyager.

Krzysztof Sarna (ekstraliga.pl): You scored only twos”. How would you rate the match in Rybnik both individually and as a team?

Krzysztof Buczkowski (ABRAMCZYK POLONIA Bydgoszcz): Individually, all of us, and especially myself, expect more. Only “twos,” so it is double digits, but I am here to pull up the score. In this match, it worked halfway. Ten points is a lot and a little. Looking at our average score in Bydgoszcz, we are able to make up for it.

Fans on social media are divided. Some say that your exclusion from the rerun of the 7th race was justified, while others disagree. How do you see it?

The exclusion was definitely justified. After a cool calculation, Rohan passed in front of my motorcycle and didn’t cut off my wheel. It was very close, and I got pulled along, resulting in me hitting his wheel. Luckily, no one was hurt. I think the decision was indeed the right one.

Were you surprised that you would also ride in the 15th race?

A bit, because the plan was different. But later we found something not good, but very good, making me capable of competing.

Is a ten-point deficit a lot or a little to make up for ABRAMCZYK POLONIA?

It is a lot. Ten points is a big gap to close. However, we are able to make it up.

Are you aware of the voices saying you are the clear favorites? Does it put pressure on your mind?

A bit, yes. But we are used to it because we work the whole season for this and represent a certain brand. We are able to make it up. Hands and strength on deck.

Will the track at Sportowa be unbeatable this season?

I think so.
