In the first match held on their own track, the Tarnów team won 51:38, giving them a solid advantage before the rematch. Two weeks later, in the away match in Poland’s first capital – despite losing 42:48 – the team led by Stanisław Burza defended the favorable balance and sealed the victory in the entire competition.
