Kajetan Kupiec represented KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZA Czestochowa for the last seasons. After the end of the previous season, the young athlete decided to end his speedway career. On his 19th birthday, Kajetan explained in an interview with wlokniarz.com what led him to make such a decision.

Wlokniarz.com: Kajetan, first of all, please accept our warmest wishes on your 19th birthday. Let’s move on to sports topics. The media has circulated the news of your separation from speedway sports. Could you explain your situation to the fans of Włókniarz Czestochowa?

Kajetan Kupiec: Of course, thank you very much for the wishes. Moving on to the question, I would also like to confirm the media speculations that announced this information. Unfortunately, my journey in speedway sports has ended for the moment. It was not an easy decision, but it had its justification. Sometimes changes in life are needed and they turn out for the better.

Why did you decide to make this decision?

This season was very difficult for me for many reasons, most of which fans probably have no idea about, as they are backstage and private matters. All these factors led to a moment where I had to decide to end this beautiful and educational journey.

Unfortunately, during the past season, you faced serious health problems. How is your current health situation in relation to those issues?

Illness excluded me from the competition at a crucial moment. Unfortunately, I couldn’t foresee this, and the consequences were severe, as my break was long. When it ended, I was riding the motorcycle as if I was starting the season from the beginning. I struggled with the side effects of this illness for a long time, but it is definitely better now.
