The juniors of ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz won the bronze medal in the final of the Polish Youth Club Pairs Championship held on the track at 4 Hallera Street. The leader of the Grudziądz team was Kacper Łobodziński, who scored 11 points.

The familiarity with the Grudziądz track made the youth of ZOOLESZCZ GKM one of the favorites to win a medal. However, the beginning of the competition did not go as planned for the hosts, and the fight for the lowest podium place lasted until the very end. – We prepared well before the final. We wanted to take advantage of our home track, and our goal was victory. Unfortunately, the competition went in such a way that we could have finished without a medal. Nevertheless, I am happy because this bronze, snatched in the last races, tastes like gold – said Kacper Łobodziński in an interview with ekstraliga.pl.

The junior of ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz achieved an average of 1.306 points per race this year and was one of the standout youths in the PGE Ekstraliga. However, the 20-year-old is not satisfied with his form in the last matches. – I got a bit lost at the end of the season. From this place, I would like to apologize to all the fans. I hope that by performing well in the MMPPK final, I have somewhat redeemed myself for my poorer form at the end of the league season. I want to keep developing all the time and become a better rider, but it doesn’t always go as I’d like – he stated.

ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz finished this year’s competition in the PGE Ekstraliga in the quarter-finals, but Łobodziński himself still wants to appear on the track this year. – I plan to participate in several tournaments in Poland and abroad. I would like to use this time to learn and gain more experience, which will pay off in the future – summed up the 20-year-old.
