KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa hosted NOVYHOTEL FALUBAZ Zielona Góra on their track on Thursday evening. The meeting ended with a division of points, but there were concerns about its gameplay due to weather conditions before the match. Coach Janusz Ślączka decided to make a risky move for the nominated heats in the home team.

– All decisions regarding the gameplay of the match are on the referee’s side. He clearly communicated to us that in the moment when the rain subsides, we proceed without leveling. If that happened, it could further worsen the condition of the track – Ślączka said.

The first part of the competition was definitely dictated by the visitors, the best proof of which is the score. After the 9th heat, the score on the scoreboard was 21:33. – That’s sports – unpredictable. NOVYHOTEL FALUBAZ also wanted to win, they were doing well from the start. In such conditions as now, these starts are very important – he explained.

How did the coach of KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa evaluate this match? – It was a tough match. When you’re losing by twelve points, it’s hard to get a favorable result. We managed to secure a draw, which in this match gave us two points – he added.

At the moment, the Częstochowa team is ranked 5th. Let’s add that such a position will guarantee them the right to play in the playoffs. – Each of us realizes the situation we’re in and wants to present ourselves well. We fought in this match to the very end, we rode to the last heat, according to the assumption that as long as the opponent does not have 46 points, we do not lose hope and we fight. It paid off! – emphasized the coach.

The team has one last clash in the regular phase ahead. On Friday, August 10, the team will head to Grudziądz. What is the team’s attitude before this encounter? – That’s how this sport is. We head to Grudziądz in the morning and we want to fight for a good result there because I know we can do it – concluded Janusz Ślączka.
