After the first final match, which took place just a few dozen hours ago at the stadium in Rybnik, it is time for the rematch, determining promotion to the PGE Ekstraliga. ABRAMCZYK POLONIA Bydgoszcz and INNPRO ROW Rybnik will face off against each other.

In the first leg of the final, Rybnik were better, winning 50:40. INNPRO ROW was led to victory by the ever-reliable Brady Kurtz this season, while on the Bydgoszcz side, the score was chased by Krzysztof Buczkowski and Andreas Lyager.

Now, the competition moves to the Municipal Stadium named after Marshal Józef Piłsudski in Bydgoszcz. The local ABRAMCZYK POLONIA has to make up for a ten-point deficit, which according to coach Tomasz Bajerski is possible but difficult. Moreover, he emphasizes the crucial role of the calmness that prevails in his team.

– There’s still calm in the team. As someone who leads and directs this team, I must be calm because you can’t show that any nervousness has crept in. I think ten points is a lot to make up, but we’re not giving up because we have a strong and good team. Besides those heats where Szczepaniak and Soerensen were overtaken in the last meters, we had a good match in Rybnik. There’s also the exclusion of Krzysztof Buczkowski, which I disagree with, and if you put all of that together, you can start speculating, but the result is what it is. It won’t be easy, but nobody said it would be nice and pleasant – Bajerski argues.

The coach also spoke critically about the performance of his juniors after the match in Rybnik. What’s the reason? – At home, they manage well. They have the start and the appropriate angles on our track down, so they know how to ride. On the other hand, their performances in away matches are tragic. They have a lot of help from the club, from me, from the mechanics, and we’ve tried everything, but they just can’t perform away – Tomasz Bajerski told us.

INNPRO ROW, on the other hand, has something to think about. Although they have a ten-point cushion, they also remember well losing 61:29 in Bydgoszcz during the regular season. –Surely nerves are also there, because it’s a final. We trained both on Wednesday and Thursday, and on Tuesday we also had a training session in Częstochowa  – Antoni Skupień said about his team’s preparation for the final clash, ahead of the match in Rybnik.
