Four rounds to go. Who will be the world champion?

The race for medals in the Grand Prix series is gaining momentum. After the tournament in Cardiff and Dan Bewley’s victory, Bartosz Zmarzlik’s advantage over the rest of the field has shrunk, but it is still large and safe. What awaits us next in the fight for the individual world champion title?

The seventh round of the Speedway Grand Prix series is behind us. In Cardiff, Daniel Bewley triumphed for the second time. Behind him was his compatriot Robert Lambert, Fredrik Lindgren stood on the lowest step of the podium, and Dominik Kubera came in last place in the final. Bartosz Zmarzlik, the leader of the general classification, did not qualify for the semifinals, which, given the good performance of his direct rivals, caused him to lose some of his already large advantage, which currently stands at 21 points. Second in the standings is the aforementioned Lambert, with 90 points, and third is Lindgren, who has 88 points.

How are the other Poles doing? Besides Zmarzlik, the best-positioned is currently Kubera, occupying the eighth place. Szymon Woźniak is in tenth place. Four rounds remain in the Grand Prix season – in Wrocław, Riga, Vojens, and Toruń.
