Exceptional return of ZOOLESZCZ GKM. Phenomenal Kawczyński (highlights of the 12th round of PGE Ekstraliga)

We have witnessed an excellent installment of this year’s PGE Ekstraliga. Beautiful competition, emotions until the very end, and above all, a neck-and-neck result. This is a perfect summary of the 12th round of the world’s best speedway league. Fans also encountered many statistically interesting moments.

• During this year’s season, in each of the six home matches of NOVYHOTEL FALUBAZ Zielona Góra, the best time of the day occurred in a race involving Piotr Pawlicki.

• Antoni Kawczyński had a phenomenal match. The junior from KS APATOR Toruń scored 8 points in 5 starts. It was the best individual performance by a Toruń club junior since 2018 when Daniel Kaczmarek scored 9+1 (#TORGOR).

• Janusz Kołodziej has been performing brilliantly against BETARD SPARTA Wrocław in recent years. The leader of FOGO UNIA Leszno has an average of 2.512 in matches against Wrocław since 2022.

• An incredible situation occurred during the match in Grudziądz. The hosts were losing by 10 points after 4 races, yet they defeated EUBT.PL STAL Gorzów 46:44. Interestingly, since returning to PGE Ekstraliga, ZOOLESZCZ GKM had never won a match when trailing by 10 or more points. Until now, their largest deficit after eight races was 20:28, with a final score of 49:41 (in 2018 – a home match against GET WELL Toruń).

• Paweł Przedpełski had a disastrous match. The captain of the Toruń club had a poor finish to the event – two zero scores in his 4th and 5th starts. The last time such a situation happened was in 2022 during the 4th round match against MOTOR Lublin.
