Domination in Lublin. ORLEN OIL MOTOR in the PGE Ekstraliga Final!

In the return semi-final of the PGE Ekstraliga, ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin defeated KS APATOR Toruń on their home track 59:31 (98:82) and advanced to the finals of the competition. Among the hosts, everyone scored at a good level – with Fredrik Lindgren and Jack Holder (11+1) scoring the most. For the visitors, Robert Lambert scored the best, with 15 points.

Before the match, the Lublin team seemed to be the slight favorites, having lost 39:51 in Toruń last week. The visitors thus had a twelve-point advantage from the first match to defend. The current Polish champions prepared hard, conducting training sessions on their home track. The visitors trained at the Rzeszów oval.

From the start of the match, the home team showed their strength, having already made up ten points lost in the first match after the first series. The visitors started tactical reserves, but it did not bring the desired results.

The only rider who managed to fight equally among the Torun team was Robert Lambert, thanks to whom KS APATOR was able to keep the aggregate score balanced. Emil Sajfutdinow tried to assist, but he lacked significant speed.

The Lublin team increased their lead with each race and also managed to take the lead in the aggregate score. After three series of starts, they led by six points.

The Lublin team started the fourth series with another strong strike, winning by a double. Then we had a tie, and in the thirteenth race, the hosts finally sealed their advance to the PGE Ekstraliga final by winning 5:1. For ORLEN OIL MOTOR, this is the fourth consecutive advance to the final.

The nominated heats were just a formality. In the first of them, in the first run, Dudek fell after catching the rear wheel of Bartosz Bańbor. The replay took place with a full lineup, ending in a tie. In the last race, Wiktor Przyjemski replaced Dominik Kubera, and in the race, the Lublin team won 4:2, ultimately finishing with a massive 59:31 victory.
