Bronze medals of DMP 2024 for KS APATOR Toruń

The match for the bronze medals of the Polish Team Championships against EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów ended with a victory for KS APATOR Toruń 54:36 (100:79).

The Toruń team repeated last year’s success, winning bronze medals in the 2024 season. The leader for the hosts was Patryk Dudek (12+2). For the Gorzów team, the best scorer was Oskar Fajfer (9+2).

Before the match started, the management of the Toruń club announced that the British rider Robert Lambert will stay in KS APATOR for the 2026 season.

The first series showed that the Toruń team were clear favorites in the rematch for the bronze medals of the Polish Team Championships. KS APATOR had an eight-point lead over EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów after just four races.

In the second series, the hosts managed to pull further ahead of the Gorzów team. Krzysztof Lewandowski especially stood out, making a fantastic move in the sixth race to take second place, fending off the fast Martin Vaculik. After two series, the Toruń team had a 16-point lead.

The hosts continued to dominate the visiting team in the third series of races. Unfortunately, Martin Vaculik ended his races, crashing in the ninth race, and was further hit by Szymon Woźniak. The Slovak was unable to continue the competitions and is suspected of having a collarbone injury.

In the fourth series of races, everything was already clear. The home team repeated last year’s success and secured the bronze medals of the Polish Team Championships. The Toruń team had 49 points in total after this series.

During the break before the nominated heats, further announcements were made. It was revealed that in the 2025 season, the Danish rider Mikkel Michelsen and the Czech rider Jan Kvech will compete for the Toruń club.

The nominated heats were a formality. The guests won the fourteenth heat 2:4, and after this race, Paweł Przedpełski was bid farewell. The final race ended in a draw, and ultimately the hosts won the match 54:36, and the dual-match 100:79.
