Bartosz Zmarzlik: It was a beautiful year

Bartosz Zmarzlik, during the last Grand Prix tournament at the Toruń Motoarena, secured his fifth individual world champion title. Additionally, the Pole won the entire competition, further increasing his lead in the overall standings over second-placed Robert Lambert and third-placed Fredrik Lindgren.

Despite winning the tournament, the start of the competition was not the best for Zmarzlik. After three heats, the ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin racer had only three points, distancing him from the semi-finals. Ultimately, he entered the top eight in championship style, standing on the highest podium step. – Great tournament. After the first three races, we said: “Okay, nothing’s happening, but maybe let’s try something.” So we tried. It worked – he said.

How can one summarize the season dominated by the Pole in the Grand Prix? – It was a beautiful year. I won’t complain and say it was tough because it’s never easy, and you have to get used to that and function accordingly. Of course, it’s not always the case that the fans, the journalists, and I myself would want, but it does not change the fact that you just have to roll up your sleeves and do everything to wake up tomorrow a better person – says the best speedway rider in the world.
