100 wins for Dudek, exceptional match for Holder (statistical curiosities of the PGE Ekstraliga semifinals)
28.09.2024 10:23The PGE Ekstraliga 2024 semifinals are behind us. After a long break caused by the flood situation, the double match between BETARD SPARTA Wrocław and EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów was finally completed. Ultimately, the team from Wrocław will face ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin for the gold medal, and the team from Gorzów will face KS APATOR Toruń for the bronze medal.
- Patryk Dudek now has 100 individual wins in the colors of KS APATOR Toruń.
- The match between EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów and BETARD SPARTA Wrocław did not go as planned for Anders Thomsen. The Dane did not win a single individual race. This was his third match without a triple this season. Interestingly, two of them were against Wrocław.
- During the match in Gorzów, Jakub Krawczyk experienced a mechanical failure. This was the first away failure for the junior of BETARD SPARTA Wrocław since 2022, when it happened to Michał Curzytek. Interestingly, this also happened in a match between the teams from Gorzów and Wrocław.
- Jack Holder had an outstanding match against KS APATOR. The Australian scored 11+1 and was one of the key figures for the Polish champions. Interestingly, it was the third time in his career he rode at home against the team from Toruń and the third time he won three races. Each time, he scored double-digit points.
- Szymon Woźniak had a worse game. During the clash at the Olympic Stadium, he scored only one point and a bonus in three starts. It was his worst match since the 2020 season and the #LUBGOR match.
- There is an extremely small difference in the average race points ranking between riders in positions 29–32. Within 0.01 are Przemysław Pawlicki (1.659), Mikkel Michelsen (1.652), Oskar Paluch (1.651), and Mads Hansen (1.649).
