In a conversation for WP SportoweFakty, Piotr Protasiewicz explained the actions of the club from Zielona Góra in the context of the U24 Extraleague. The sports director of STELMET FALUBAZU also emphasized that the training competitions positively impact player development.

  • The juniors gained a lot by being able to ride with slightly older players in the U24 Extraleague. It wasn’t a second DMPJ competition – noted Piotr Protasiewicz in an interview for WP SportoweFakty.
  • The club from Zielona Góra spent about 830 thousand PLN on the U24 Extraleague.
  • The 2025 season will be the fourth in which the training competitions will take place.

The sports director of STELMET FALUBAZU believes that the U24 Extraleague competitions bring a lot of benefits in terms of the educational pyramid and creating opportunities for speedway sport enthusiasts to compete with more experienced riders. – In addition, please remember that we are creating an educational pyramid. Soon we will have seven or eight riders with licenses in the 500cc class. Where will they ride? In four or five DMPJ tournaments? There is no such possibility. We need competitions like the U24 Extraleague. We will never create such conditions in training. If this league disappears, we will have to look for something else – explained Piotr Protasiewicz in an interview for WP SportoweFakty.
