ŻUŻEL/NEWS/M2E: HUNTERS PSŻ Poznań Presented

On Friday, March 7th, the official presentation of the HUNTERS PSŻ Poznań team took place. The event attracted many speedway fans in the capital of Greater Poland.

• The team presentation took place right after the entire team’s training camp in Władysławowo.

The speedway riders of HUNTERS PSŻ Poznań managed to choose their captain during the multi-day training camp. The captain is FOGO UNIA Leszno’s homegrown talent, Bartosz Smektała. – I take the role of captain naturally. The worst pressure is the one you put on yourself, the rest doesn’t bother me. I’m prepared for the season, I’ve been racing for many years, and the fact that I became captain only motivates me for further work – said Smektała for sportowy-poznan.pl.

Another key player for the team’s success will be Ryan Douglas, who was the fourth most successful speedway rider in the entire METALKAS 2nd League last season. The team reached the semifinals, where he couldn’t participate due to an injury. – I feel this will be a good season, and we will achieve similar results as before. We have to do our work, but I’m really excited because we have a great group of people to work with. I feel really good. I had a slight ankle injury that prevented me from racing in Australia, but ultimately, the break did me good. My body has recovered, and I’m hungry for the game – stated Douglas.

Besides the new speedway riders, Eryk Jóźwiak has also joined the club. The new coach of HUNTERS PSŻ was previously a coach at WYBRZEŻA Gdańsk, with whom he parted ways after the 2024 season. As he admits, to achieve success, everyone’s points are needed. – Douglas and Smektała are certainly key players and the driving forces, but everyone must work. Points from only these players won’t ensure we win matches. The entire seven or maybe eight match squad will need to score, so we count on everyone to contribute, so we can celebrate victory in the end – added Jóźwiak for sportowy-poznan.pl.
