ŻUŻEL/NEWS/M2E: Changes at the stadium in Krosno

The CELLFAST Wolves Krosno team will soon start the new season in the Metalkas 2. Ekstraliga. One of the changes occurring in the last preparatory period is the stadium reconstruction. We have the latest information on the progress of the work.

• Renovation of the approximately 70-year-old stand at the stadium in Krosno is underway

• The stadium reconstruction involves demolishing the old stand along the starting straight and building a completely new structure

– Work at the stadium involves the reconstruction of the many-year-old stand, among other things, to increase its capacity. The opening is planned for the beginning of 2026, so it will not be available to fans this season – says Piotr Bąk, press spokesman for CELLFAST WILKI Krosno. However, he assures that the work does not affect the condition of the track or the experience of the matches in the new season for the fans present at the stadium.

At the moment, it is not yet known what the official opening of the new stand will look like, but it is supposed to occur at the latest by the start of the next season – the project assumes that the new stand will have approximately 1050 seats. The investment is possible thanks to the Government Fund of the Polish New Deal: Strategic Investment Program. As we read on the website of krosno.pl – the project titled The Reconstruction of the Stadium on Legionów Street in Krosno – construction of the stand with the building and accompanying infrastructure and gas network reconstruction is worth nearly 20 million PLN.
