Thursday afternoon is time for another edition of the PGE Ekstraliga magazine. The guests of the WP SportoweFakty portal will be Andzejs Lebedevs (FOGO UNIA Leszno) and Marcin Gortat (former basketball player).

It is no secret that one of the best Polish basketball players in history is passionate about speedway. He has appeared at various league matches many times and has also been vocal on topics related to this sport. The former NBA player will talk about the beginnings of his passion for the “black sport.”

However, this will not be the main topic of the conversation. That will be the potential role of Marcin Gortat in speedway. Does he see himself as an activist or sponsor? The 40-year-old comes from Łódź, where the future of H.SKRZYDLEWSKA ORZEŁ is uncertain. Was he persuaded to take over the club, or maybe he is even trying to help this center survive?

Lebedevs in the 2024 season represented FOGO UNIA Leszno in the PGE Ekstraliga, averaging 1.707 points per race. Now, however, it is already known that he will no longer score points for the team from southern Greater Poland. During the PGE Ekstraliga magazine, he will talk about the negotiations with the relegated team and reveal in which league he will ride in 2025.

In the speedway environment, there were rumors that Andzejs Lebedevs was linked to an agreement with CELLFAST WILKI, according to which he would compete for the team from Podkarpacie if he does not find employment in the world’s best speedway league. Will the 29-year-old ultimately race for the Krosno team?
