World Environment Day 2024
30.05.2024 16:41
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 and is the largest and most popular day of positive actions for environmental protection worldwide.
In 2024, the theme for World Environment Day is: #GenerationRestoration.
The idea of this celebration is to draw attention to issues related to pollution and the protection of the natural environment, raise ecological awareness, and also stimulate active pro-ecological activities.
We cannot turn back time, but we can grow forests, restore water sources, and rejuvenate soils. We are the generation that can make peace with the earth.
Today we focus on education, integration, energy transformation, and noise reduction, in line with sustainable development goals. Our sponsors are increasingly aware of the importance of sponsoring responsible products aligned with their strategies. We must offer safe, high-quality sports events that enhance our sponsors’ brands. We are concerned about current issues such as plastic pollution, noise, climate change, etc.
The International Motorcycle Federation (FIM), as well as the European Motorcycle Federation (FIM Europe), encourage joining actions for our planet and celebrating sustainable living during the Week of Sustainable Development, which starts on June 1, 2024, and lasts until June 9, 2024.
World Environment Day is an excellent opportunity to undertake specific actions. We can plant trees, shrubs, flowers, organize clean-up campaigns in our surroundings, etc.
Remember, for good development, harmony between people and nature is essential.
We encourage event organizers, motor events – to start today and throughout June, undertake and report to the PZM Environmental Protection Team their local initiatives related to environmental protection.
The PZM Environmental Protection Team asks for photos, selfies, videos taken during motor sports and environmental protection activities, which we will publish on our fan page #PzmCaresForTheEnvironment. Green T-shirts #PzmCaresForTheEnvironment will be awarded for the most interesting materials provided.
