On Saturday at 20:00, the final of the FIM Speedway Of Nations in Manchester will take place. Seven teams will compete for the world pairs championship. Among them is the Polish team consisting of Bartosz Zmarzlik, Dominik Kubera, and Patryk Dudek. Broadcast on TTV and on Max and Player platforms.

The Speedway Of Nations competition returns to Manchester. The last time the world pairs championship took place in the UK was in 2021. Then, the hosts were the best. The Poles took 2nd place, and the lowest step on the podium belonged to the Danes. The gold medals will be defended by the Australians. It was them who celebrated winning the championship at the 2022 tournament in Vojens.

The Polish team has so far not been lucky in winning the championship. We have 3 silver medals and 1 bronze. In the last event, the Poles finished in 6th place. Therefore, the appetite for erasing the blot and winning the coveted championship is significant.

In the Saturday tournament, besides our team members, the hosts, i.e., the Great Britain team, as well as the representatives of Germany, Denmark, Australia, Latvia, and Sweden will participate.

The first semifinal was won by the Swedes, who overtook Poland. The Germans qualified in the playoff, defeating Finland. In the second semifinal, the Danes turned out to be the best, Australia came second, and in the playoff, the Latvians qualified. They were helped, however, by the representative of the Czech Republic, Jan Kvech, who fell while heading for a sure qualification for his team in the playoff race.

In the Saturday competition, our team will be represented by Bartosz Zmarzlik, Dominik Kubera, and Patryk Dudek. The captain of the Poles had a severe crash on Tuesday but admits he feels ready to fight for gold. Dominik Kubera became familiar with the track in Manchester, having had the opportunity to race in the semifinals. Patryk Dudek, on the other hand, has replaced Maciej Janowski by the decision of the team coach Rafał Dobrucki.
