Victory for KS APATOR. Very good performance by Kawczyński

An incredibly intense match at the Motoarena in Toruń between KS APATOR and KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa ended with a win for the home team, who triumphed 49:41. The junior formation of Piotr Baron’s team performed phenomenally – Antoni Kawczyński (8) and Krzysztof Lewandowski (4+3). Among the senior players from both teams, the top scorers were Patryk Dudek (13+1) and Leon Madsen (14).

The team from Toruń tried to control the match’s outcome from the start. The junior heat was entirely dominated by the home pair – Antoni Kawczyński and Krzysztof Lewandowski. The junior riders of KS APATOR shot out from the start and sped confidently to the finish line, gaining five ‘points.’.

In the 3rd heat, there were two falls involving Paweł Przedpełski and Maksym Drabik. On the second turn of the second lap, the Częstochowa rider made a successful attempt to overtake the Toruń rider. Right after that, Przedpełski flew over the motorcycle handlebars and fell dangerously onto the track. Moments later, just before the start-finish line, the KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ rider also fell. In the race rerun, the pupil of Piotr Baron was excluded.

The second series of the competition started with the first team victory of the day for the guest pair, Leon Madsen and Kacper Woryna. In the 7th heat, Robert Lambert was excluded for touching the tape. He was replaced by Kawczyński, who ensured another crucial point for the Toruń team by bringing in Kacper Halkiewicz behind him.

At the halfway mark, KS APATOR Toruń was leading KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa 23:19, with the next races ending in draws. This meant that before the nominated heats, the home team remained in the lead with a four-point advantage, leaving the issue of the overall victory unresolved.

The penultimate heat of the day ended in a draw, confirming that the bonus point would go to the Częstochowa team. Everything was decided in the 15th heat, where after many overtakes, the pair of Dudek – Sayfutdinov secured the win for their team, 49:41.
