Time to fight for medals in PGE Ekstraliga 2024 (preview #GORTOR and #WROLUB)

In the last Sunday of September, the competition for medals will begin in the 2024 season. Fans will see the battle for bronze between EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów and KS APATOR Toruń on the track, as well as the grand final, where BETARD SPARTA Wrocław and ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin will face off.
The team from Gorzów is entering the fight for third place after the semi-finals, where they had to acknowledge the superiority of BETARD SPARTA Wrocław. In the first match on their home track, EBUT.PL STAL lost 44:46. The rematch at the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław was equally tough, and the hosts won 50:40, eliminating the team from Gorzów.
KS APATOR Toruń had a battle with ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin. The team from Toruń, after winning 51:39 at Motoarena, seemed to be in a favorable position, but the match in Lublin turned disastrous – a 31:59 loss shattered their dreams of reaching the final.
In direct encounters between these teams this season, EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów was victorious four times. First, they defeated their rivals 51:39 on their home ground at Edward Jancarz Stadium, and later repeated success away in Toruń, winning 50:40. The teams met again in the quarter-finals, where the team from Gorzów won both matches again (48:42 in Toruń and 51:39 in Gorzów).

BETARD SPARTA Wrocław, despite the absence of the injured Tai Woffinden, presented themselves solidly in the play-offs. In the match in Gorzów, they showed character by winning 46:44. In the second match at the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław, they were unstoppable, dominating their rivals 50:40 and securing a place in the final.
ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin found themselves in a tough situation after losing in Toruń (39:51). In the rematch at Zygmuntowskie Avenues, the team from Lublin showed their strength, decisively defeating KS APATOR 59:31. This excellent performance allowed them to recover and secure a spot to defend the title of Team Polish Champions.
In the league stage encounters between these teams, each team claimed one victory. In the 7th round, the players from Lublin were better at home, winning 50:40. In Wrocław, the hosts retaliated and triumphed 49:41.
