After the battle for the METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga semifinals began a week ago, it’s time for the second-leg quarterfinals. At the same time, INNPRO ROW Rybnik will face CELLFAST WILKI Krosno, ARGED MALESA Ostrów Wlkp. will challenge H.SKRZYDLEWSKA ORŁEM Łódź, and ABRAMCZYK POLONIA Bydgoszcz will compete against #ORZECHOWAOSADA PSŻ Poznań.
In the Krosno-Rybnik matchup eight days ago, the former proved better. CELLFAST WILKI won 46:44 in front of their own crowd, meaning they will defend the smallest point advantage of all the quarterfinals in the rematch. Furthermore, Ireneusz Kwieciński’s team is struggling with many problems, as Vaclav Milik and Jonas Seifert-Salk are injured. The Czech has a broken arm, and the Dane has three fractures in his spine.
Thus, the Rybnik team seems to be in a better situation. In light of the troubles and small gap to their rivals, INNPRO ROW is the clear favorite in this two-legged match. In the regular round, they won at their home facility over the Krosno team 56:34, which further favors the Silesian club.

In the second second-leg quarterfinal, ARGED MALESA Ostrów Wlkp will host the team from Łódź. The Ostrów team is the only club among the playoff participants that managed to win an away game last week. After an exciting match at Moto Arena, they defeated H.SKRZYDLEWSKA ORŁA by six points. So what does the nearly complete team need to improve? – You can work on everything. There’s no such match where all seven riders score well, so there are always things to work on – says Mariusz Staszewski, the coach of ARGED MALESA Ostrów.
The team from Łódź, on the other hand, has reasons to believe. During the fifth round of the METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga, they had a chance to race on the Ostrów track, where they narrowly lost but made a strong showing. Interestingly, H.SKRZYDLEWSKA ORŁE includes three riders who previously represented ARGED MALESA Ostrów, so they feel great on this track. They are Tomasz Gapiński, Daniel Kaczmarek, and Oliver Berntzon. Everything is possible in the rematch.

However, we must not forget how effective ABRAMCZYK POLONIA is on their home track. Not only did they win all matches in Bydgoszcz, but they also never scored less than 51 points. In the competition with #ORZECHOWAOSADA PSŻ in the regular round, they scored 55 points, which in this situation would give the seven-time Polish champions a place in the top four of the season.

Ekstraliga match, which is after the second series of starts. The appropriate tab will be available in the Ekstraliga żużlowa mobile app. The selection of the Rider will end after the 15th race.
After each round of the METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga, voting for the Rider of the Round will start on the CANAL+ Speedway Facebook page. Fans will choose from the winners of the individual matches in a special post. CANAL+ will then announce who received this title in the given round.
