Robert Kościecha summarized the debut season in the PGE Ekstraliga (video)

– The greatest appreciation was that I received the “Szczakiel” in the first season of work, which makes me very happy – said Robert Kościecha in an interview for the club television BAYERSYSTEM GKM Grudziądz. The coach summarized the 2024 PGE Ekstraliga season and talked about plans for the next year.

– Experts predicted our relegation, but we showed that this Dove is very strong and we didn’t let ourselves get pushed off this branch – noted the coach in an interview for GKMtv.

Robert Kościecha finished with the Grudziądz team in 5th place in the 2024 season. At the same time, it was a historic moment when the club advanced for the first time in history to the play-off phase of the PGE Ekstraliga. The coach himself won the Szczakiel award in the “Best Coach of the Season” category. In the upcoming season, Jakub Miśkowiak will join the team, who can still compete in the U24 position.

– We started to establish lineup concepts. We had 3 such ideas and managed to implement the first one. There were various discussions about who should be here and who should not, and I had an influence on that. I am glad that I was not overlooked – said Kościecha.
